Leaving Madinah for Umrah in Makkah is a long day: check-out, ihram, the Miqat, a 450 km drive and arriving with bags and family. A taxi from Madinah to Makkah with Al Harmain Taxi keeps it simple. One private car picks you up at your Madinah hotel, stops at the Miqat for ihram and drops you at your hotel in Makkah, at a fixed fare agreed before you travel.

Most pilgrims travelling from Madinah to Makkah are on their way to perform Umrah, so the ride has one extra job: a stop at the Miqat to enter ihram. Our fixed fare covers the full trip from your Madinah hotel to your hotel in Makkah, with the Miqat stop at Dhul Hulaifa on the way.
| Vehicle | Passengers | Fare |
|---|---|---|
| Toyota Camry / Hyundai Sonata | Up to 4 | SAR 400 |
| Hyundai Staria H1 | Up to 7 | SAR 550 |
| Toyota Hiace | Up to 10 | SAR 600 |
| Toyota Coaster | Up to 16 | SAR 900 |
| GMC Yukon XL | Up to 7 | SAR 1200 |
Fares are per vehicle, not per person, and can change in Ramadan and Hajj season.
If you are travelling to Makkah for Umrah, you must enter ihram before passing the Miqat. For pilgrims leaving Madinah, that is Dhul Hulaifa, also called Abyar Ali, about 10 km from Masjid an Nabawi. Our driver stops at the masjid there so you can make your intention, pray two rakat and continue in ihram.
Madinah to Makkah is about 450 km on the Hijrah highway. The taxi time is 4.5 to 5 hours including the Miqat stop and one rest break for prayer. Leaving Madinah after Fajr or Dhuhr usually gets you to Makkah in time to rest before your Umrah. A private taxi takes you from hotel door to hotel door, which matters when you arrive in ihram with luggage and family.
A long road trip in ihram is easier when the small things are already taken care of:
Choose the car by passengers and bags. Families with suitcases and Zamzam usually pick the Staria H1 or GMC Yukon XL so nobody is squeezed for 4 to 5 hours.
Our drivers make this trip every week. They know the Miqat at Dhul Hulaifa, the rest areas on the Hijrah highway and how to reach hotels around the Haram.
Send your Madinah hotel, Makkah hotel, travel date and number of passengers. We reply with the fare and pickup time. No app or account needed.

The Haramain train is quick for a solo traveller with one bag. For families it often costs more, because every passenger needs a ticket and you still need a taxi to and from both stations. The train also cannot stop at the Miqat, so you have to enter ihram before reaching the station. A private taxi from Madinah to Makkah is one fare for the whole car, with the Miqat stop on the way.
Travelling the other way later? Book a Makkah to Madinah taxi or a Makkah to Jeddah Airport taxi for your flight home.

Sedans, family vans, GMC SUVs and Coaster minibuses, all air-conditioned and cleaned before each trip.
